Asset Based Community Development

You are invited to participate in an Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) training session with John McKnight, Co-Director of the ABCD Institute and Professor Emeritus of Communications Studies and Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University.  This training is being funded by a grant received from the Davenport Institute as part of the 26 in 26 initiative and will include an overview of the ABCD methodology as well as helpful information regarding the process that will be utilized for the 26 in 26 initiative.

Please save the date:  Tuesday, March 25th – 6:00-8:30.  We may increase the time frame if needed.

This training session is open to all RNP Board Members as well as any neighborhood leaders that have been identified who are interested in working with the RNP through the 26 in 26 initiative.  The training will take place at the Arlington Library so we are limited to the number of people that the space will hold but we would like to see as many people participate as possible.  Please RSVP to me so that I can keep a head count.

The countdown starts now!  19 days until we have our first ABCD training session!  Please – get out your contact lists, engage your neighborhood leaders and make them aware of this event!!!  John McKnight’s involvement with the 26 in 26 initiative is certain to draw more attention to the great things that the RNP is doing here in Riverside.  We look forward to his visit and your participation in the training session!!!
