Asset Based
Asset Based

Essential to the core value of community development is being asset based.  Assets are the gifts, talents, passions which a person or community possesses.  We believe that all people have the ability to add value to his or her community and that offering one’s gifts is the best way for any member to impact that community.  This is the reason why commonGood is so diverse; because assets, like people, are diverse.

The same is true about our handling of global economics and Fair Trade.  Our business goal is not product first, rather it is people first.  Our core value is human assets.

Through our work with Ten Thousand Villages we are able to highlight, celebrate and showcase the assets of global artisans from around the globe who create so many unique items with their artistic styles and talent.  This celebration of diversity allows for sustainability and longevity, a continuing benefit to world community.

Join us this holiday season as we celebrate local and global assets at the
